Mr. Motorcycle

I am

My photo
I live at 1 Frozen place in, Minnesota, United States
My real name is Mark. For many years now my wife has called me Mr. Motorcycle. When I started my Blog I was looking for a catchy blog name, so I went with it. I'm happily married and I'm also a father of 6 children. I have two human offspring, one dog, two cats and one custom Harley. I believe that makes 6 children. When I'm not doing my real full time job, or going for a ride, I like to do art, custom paint jobs, and of course BLOG. If you would like to contact me, my e-mail address is phonetically spelled for avoiding spammers. (I actually do use the number 1 in the beginning.) 1mrmotorcycleATgmailDOTcom

The photo above is my ride :
"Kenny" started life as a stock '97, 883 Sportster. It's been a work in progress since the day I bought it many years ago. Its mostly custom with a built, "slightly juiced up" 1200 motor.
The Metal Fabrication, bodywork and custom paint was done by me.

How the Hell did I come up with a name like Kenny for my bike you ask?...... Most people who name their rides, go with chick names. I of course had to be different. I think bikes look tough, cool and masculine; not feminine. Plus, my father "Ken" has helped make me who I am today. Therefore with a little twist on the name, my bike was named "Kenny".

Gettin ready to do some air brushing

For those of you who have checked out my paint blog, I'm sure you've seen these pictures; but for those who have not, this is a tank I painted. This is what a flame job lay out looks like in the masked off stage as it gets ready for some airbrushed color.

Remember the Titan Sidewinder frame I posted a while back? More of that bike to come soon. Hopefully will have another post of some of that work in a couple of weeks.

Riding weather comming soon? Nope........I don't think so.

We've had so much snow this year!

Unlike winters passed, we haven't really seen the deer in our back yard.

I think the snow was so deep the deer must have actually been burried in it........

Big-uns

Now mind you, I have been happily married for almost 20 years now, so this is not me talking, but this was just too funny not to pass along.
.
When I was 13, I hoped that one day I would have a girlfriend with big tits.
.
When I was 16, I got a girlfriend with big tits, but there was no passion, so I decided I needed a passionate girl with zest for life.
.
In college I dated a passionate girl, but she was too emotional. Everything was an emergency; she was a drama queen, cried all the time and threatened to commit suicide. So I decided I needed a girl with stability.
.
When I was 25, I found a very stable girl but she was boring. She was totally predictable and never got excited about anything. Life became so dull that I decided that I needed a girl with some excitement.
.
When I was 28, I found an exciting girl, but I couldn't keep up with her. She rushed from one thing to another, never settling on anything. She did mad impetuous things and made me miserable as often as happy. She was great fun initially and very energetic, but directionless. So I decided to find a girl with some real ambition.
.
When I turned 30, I found a smart ambitious girl with her feet planted firmly on the ground, so I married her. She was so ambitious that she divorced me and took everything I owned.
.
I am older and much wiser now, and I am looking once again for a girl with big tits.

Got Snow?

It's been a white wintery not so wunderland here in Minnesota this year, and I know many other places as well.

Matter of fact, this year in Minnesota, we broke the all time record in the month of December for snow fall, and the snow has not stopped yet. It just keeps coming and coming and coming. It's like the Energizer Bunny on Viagra doing porn.

Being an insurance adjuster, I think I've handled more interior water damage claims caused by ice dams due to the repeated large snow falls this year than any other year before. Correction, I know I have.

Mrs. M. refers to this year as "Snowmageddon".

So for me and all of the other snow bound riders out there who won't be riding any time soon, I am posting this to lighten our spirits.

Below is an aerial photo of the average upstate NY & New England commute for folks these days....

O.K. after seeing this, I'm convinced it is not so bad here and I am officially done bitchin about the Minnesota snow....(Maybe).
NOW THAT'S A LOT OF SNOW!

Stolen from the internet... Had to post it.

I love snow, but C'mon. Enough is enough!
Is it too early to start itching to ride already?

Here is the answer to: When is the Minnesota . Wisconsin Spring and Fall Flood runs.

It's basically the same every year, but the dates fluctuate.

The run starting point is at the Beach Club Bar in Lake St. Croix Beach.

The ride usually starts gathering around 10:00 A.M. or so and departs in groups around noon or so. The times are pretty flexible and open.

"F" P.C. .... Merry Christmas!

Since I don't post every day, I didn't want to pass up this opportunity to wish each and every person who stumbles across this blog, or goes to it deliberately a "MERRY CHRISTMAS"!

This post was inspired as all posts are by something. That something was a Facebook post that a friend of mine from childhood did.

She said "I celebrate Christmas so feel free to say 'Merry Christmas!' to me without worry of offense. "

I replied to her as follows:

"People who get offended by hearing Merry Christmas (even if they don't celebrate it, or aren't Christian) are over reacting. In fact, I don't think many people actually take offence. I think more people worrying about being pollitically correct (businesses etc.) worry about it more than a non-Christian does. I'm guessing that roughly 75% of the American population is Christian. So those who are actually offended need to get over it. I'm not Jewish, but if someone said Happy Hanukkah to me, it wouldn't offend me. I don't partake in going out and trick or treating any more now than my children are older. And it doesn't offend me when someone says Happy Halloween. Hell, other than the really cute little ones on Halloween, the holiday in general with teenagers not even dressed in costumes, begging for free candy really actually bugs me. My point being; Me thinks people go a wee bit too far with the pollitically correct bullshit. Even if someone isn't Christian, take the phrase "Merry Christmas" in the spirit of the holiday season as a well wish, kind of like "Good morning". It's certainly not something you should take offense too. I can guarantee you any Christian wishing another person well wishes around the holiday season means no offense to any one when they say "Merry Christmas" to you.So yes, Sarah, Merry Christmas to you and yours."

And to all my readers. Merry Christmas to you.

-ADDICTION-

A passion for all things motorcycles is an addiction. Like all other addictions, it cannot be cured, only treated.

There is only one true way to treat that addiction and it is to ride like the wind.

The rest of our passion pacifiers can only subdue and help to soothe the agaony of when we are not able to ride.

Wicked Inquisition . Sun Flight . Live ....... 2 minutes and 38 seconds.

The band was obviously way better live than the sound you will hear here. This was just a low budget video recorder.
My kid, David Harley Brachmann plays in the band. He is the guitarist with the silver Fender Stratocaster and the Metallica T-shirt. The post title portion that says 2 Minutes and 38 seconds does not refere to the length of anything, it is where you need to get to in their Sun Flight Live video if to hear nothing more than him wail out one sick F'ing solo. It may be short, but it sure is SWEET. "I'm not biased at all." The kid rocks. The band rocks. They also have plenty of other tracks and vids on YouTube. Check em out. They are Wicked Inquisition. One of my favorites is their namesake song they wrote called Wicked Inquisition. You gotta check this one out. They also have a cool Vid called White Stallions. Live. In it, the drummer does a wicked solo. The band members are young and have a ways to go, but I have a feeling they will go nowhere but up. They are truly a bunch of talented dudes. I wish them all the the best of luck in the world.

Hopefully they can make something out of this band.
Keep rockin guys.
One of your biggest fans.
Yeah, You know who.
Check out their links to hear them play on YouTube.
