Repairing Motorcycle Saddlebags

Saddlebags are one of the best tools for a biker. They hold all your stuff safely locked inside, despite the bumpy roads or the tough terrains you take. Despite the thick leather body and steel frames support, motorcycle bags are prone to damage with time. Sagged and cracked bags are one of the commonest problems. Since the issue is frequent, buying new bags or giving the worn ones for repair every time is not a solution. Therefore, knowing some 'do it yourself' solutions come very handy here. Here are some simple tips to repair your motorcycle saddlebags:

·        Retaining Color: Most of the saddlebags are made of genuine or synthetic leather and are black. With prolonged exposure to heat and sunlight, they may lose their original shade. To counter this fading, take good quality leather oil and mix it with the black leather dye. Apply the mixture uniformly or only to the damaged part and let it dry for a whole day, preferably in the shade. Avoid sunlight exposure.
·        Filling the Cracks: The motorcycle bags often develop cracks, peels, or small holes, which may become larger if you do not take proper care. If your saddlebag has any of these problems, get plastic glue. You can easily find this glue in a hardware shop. Fill the crack or the hole with the glue and let it dry for 24 hours for the best results.
·        Bigger Holes: We usually avoid repairing the small holes. Within little time, these holes get bigger and worse. Here, for big holes, apply black tape instead of glue. Put it on the inner side of the damaged saddlebags so that it is not visible from outside. This keeps the bag's look intact. For extra protection, you can apply a coat of plastic glue later on.
·        Covering the Bag: In case your saddlebags need repair at more than one place, putting on a black tape is not a durable solution. It can even impart a dull look to your bags. To solve the issue, you may put plastic polystyrene sheets over the bag's body and cover your entire bag with a layer of much thicker glue. With a proper application of sheets and glue, no one will be able to make out that extra sheet on the bag. It appears brand new. If possible, take the bag off of the bike and after covering it with the sheet, put some weight on it so that it sticks properly to the saddlebags' body. Half Sack....Half a Sack with a Shit Load of Balls

Los Angeles authorities say a man who fell to his death after killing an elderly Los Angeles woman was an actor
who appeared in the FX television show "Sons of Anarchy".
The man was identified as 28 year old Johnny Lewis, maybe better known as Kip Epps, or "Half Sack" on the biker drama for 2 seasons. 

The woman was and 81 year old Catherine Davis who was beaten to death and found in a driveway in Los Feliz area and Johnny Lewis was found dead near a wall.

Investigators say Lewis apparently beat the woman to death and fought with two other men before climbing a wall and falling to his death, or jumping to his death.

Lewis was renting from her and the motive is unknown at this time.

Side car buddy

This is not my dog, but I do have a Golden Retriever, and I bet he wishes I had a side car for my bike. The other day, I took my bike around the block for a quick clutch adjustment test ride and he chased me all around! He loves riding in the car. I bet he'd really love a "Side Car"!

The girl biker bar

An old, blind cowboy wanders into an all-girl biker bar by mistake.

He finds his way to a bar stool and orders a shot of Jack Daniels. After sitting there for a while, he yells to the bartender, 'Hey, you wanna hear a blonde joke ?'

The bar immediately falls absolutely silent.

In a very deep, husky voice, the woman next to him says,'Before you tell that joke, Cowboy, I think it is only fair, given that you are blind, that you should know five things:

1. The bartender is a blonde girl with a baseball bat.

2. The bouncer is a blonde girl with a 'Billy-Club'.

3. I'm a 6-foot tall, 175-pound blonde woman with a black belt in karate.

4. The woman sitting next to me is blonde and a professional weight lifter.

5. The lady to your right is blonde and a professional wrestler.

'Now, think about it seriously, Cowboy. Do you still wanna tell that blonde joke ?'

The blind cowboy thinks for a second, shakes his head and mutters ... 'No, not if I'm gonna have to explain it five times.'

Dunlap to retire


Dunlap will retire on Feb. 27 after 39 years with “Undisclosed company name”. A reception will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 24 in the Financial Services Building common area.



Being as Dunlap is the stock Harley Davidson tire, does anyone else find this a wee bit peculiar?
Sounds like Dunlap is making retreads now.
Um... my bike has some bald tires. I think I need to Retire with Dunlaps.

I'm usually a pretty peaceful guy, but I fear that if I saw this little pecker head on the streets I'd have to commence in some serious ass kicking, face pulverizing and wipe that F'n smile off of his face.
Just sayin....

I was too drunk to drive my motorcycle home last night.

Last night I went out drinking with my buddies.
We went to the local watering hole we always meet at.
A good time was had by all.
Maybe too good a time for me, because I was way too drunk to safely ride my motorcycle home.
Being the responsible person I am, I was going to get a cab. When I called for one, the wait was longer than I was willing to stand, and I really wanted to leave before Momma got too angry 'bout how late I was out with the guys. So the next best option was to take a bus home; which I did.
It was pretty amazing, because I have never driven a bus before, and I haven't yet figured out who's bus it was that I took either! I'm guessing I'll find out soon enough.

Headlining news! Diego busted!

In today's news...

Dora the Explorer's cousin Diego takes up a life of crime; and witnesses report that he had a sidekick named Swiper with him. 

Diego was caught in the act and photographed by some locals.

America's dumbest Criminals has footage of Diego trying to burglarize a home in Denver, Colorado. While attempting to gain access into the home or flee the residence, he got stuck between the opening  of a window air conditioner and the window frame.

Local Denver Police responded to the 911 call made by a neighbor and now have Diego in custody for questioning. Charges for the attempted theft are being pressed. The police released a statement that no one was hurt, and nothing was stolen, and because nothing was near the window and the home owners reported nothing stolen, they believe Diego got stuck trying to enter the home.

Local witnesses report Swiper the Fox likely had involvement in the attempted burglary. This was confirmed by the responding officer who reports that he saw Swiper the Fox fleeing the scene upon their arrival.

A warrant for Swiper the Fox has been isssued, and it is believed that he may be armed and dangerous!
