Warning! Explicit photo! Dangerous breed dog category...

For those of you who follow my blog regularly, you know how much of an animal lover I am. Good care between our children and our pets must be taken. I find the picture below disturbing, and give you fair warning that what you are about to see is explicit.

If you are the owner of a dog that belongs to a "dangerous breed" category, and you also have a small child , or children, please take this as a warning.

Do not leave your small children with a dog unattended under any circumstances. It only took a few short moments for the following to happen.

But seriously folks, vicious dogs are in every breed, and so are nice dogs. It's all in the way they are trained, and loved. I've seen vicious chihuahuas. You don't see them on a dangerous breed list.

  1. LOL! Reminded me of Spanky and a the Gang's dog. He had a circle around one eye, only his wasn't blue! This is so cute. I couldn't agree with you more about dog breeds getting a bad rap. I know two of the sweetest pit bulls there are.

It's too bad for the animals, that have to suffer with non-responsible people.

  3. This is a cute shot. But I'm not sure of the dog thing. Yes training has a lot to do with everything on how your dog carry's it self. I've had boxers with my boys. And the dogs were perfect. A dog shown love will out of instinct protect it's loved ones. But we once had a Doberman Ollie was his name. A great dog loved kids. Playful and all you would want in a family dog. This was in the 70's when the bad word was on dobermans. I laughed that off. Had not yet heard of the Pit yet. Ollie was about 8 when out of the blue he nipped at our son. I figured it was an isolated thing and let it go. A week later he showed aggression at me. He had done a no no. So I wrote that of but with caution. A day or so later he nipped at the boy again. I found a Doberman breeder and they took him. We loved that dog and have no idea why he did that. But it taught me to listen to experience. Well sometimes my mother hated motorcycles I didn't listen to her:)

  4. Webster World. I too, like Lady R., have a friend who has had some of the nicest dogs in the world. Stafford shire Terriers. The are commonly mistaken as "pit bulls". Look the same, act the same. Anyway, you can swing them around literally by their tug rope, and two seconds later after getting them all riled up, stick your hand in their mouths. Little babies.

I think your Doberman issue was a dog issue, not a breed issue. Hell my wife had a little Cocker Spaniel bite her lip to the point of needing stitches, when she was younger. Totally unprovoked. There are bad people in this world too, and you can't single them out by any particular race. Some people, and some dogs, just have problems.

  5. That is freakin' AWESOME! Very colorful, lots of talent there.

Reminds me of the time I colored on my sheets and blamed it on the CAT!

I agree with you..it' all in the upbringing. We have 3 dogs, 2 cats and a chin at home and they are all part of the family and we all get along together. There is no uch thing as a stereo type bad animal...but unfortunately very few people understand this.
    Good pot

  8. “Warning! Explicit Photo!” Dude, I thought you had some porn going on! (Sobbing).
Hey, any critter can be dangerous. But usually not as dangerous as some of nut-cases that own them.

  9. Oh whew! I didn't know what to expect! Very cute picture. I am a believer that animals are like people with a variety of personalities. Some are cranky, some are patient and sweet. And it really does depend on how sane their owners are.

    Damn cute picture.

  10. Cute! I'm laughing at Jocelyn's comment, my son drew on the couch with markers and blamed it on the cat!
