Back together

The Titan Sidewinder that I custom painted has been put back together. I hope to see it in person soon. Yeah, someone else owns it, just like most things I paint, but a little piece of it feels like it is mine.

The paint jobs always take on a different feel when the bike is put back together.

I'm diggin this one.

  1. So tell me, when are you doing a guest appearance on a reality TV show about bikes?

  2. Beautiful job! You can be very proud of yourself. Will you send me your autograph now, before you get all famous and busy? I can brag... "I knew Mr. M when he was just painting out of his garage!"

Finding another project will take care of that empty nest feeling your having.

Congratulations again on a job well done! It's very cool.

  4. Willy D, Road Captain, Lady R., and Dean "D-Day", you are all too kind. Thanks for the compliments. Fact is it is a side gig and nothing more. The part about getting paid to do a hobby makes it sweeter. I'm glad it's something I love to do again. When I used to do it for a living, I was always under major time constraints for volume, etc. and quality over volume always kinda took a back seat. I really hated that part. It took all of the joy out of painting.

  5. Yeah, I had a good friend who was an auto mechanic and a hell of a great bike mechanic on the side. He got a pretty sweet offer to go work on bikes at a shop but turned it down. He explained to me that he actually enjoyed working on bikes in his spare time. He was afraid that if he did it as a full-time job that it would take the enjoyment out of it.

  6. You did a good job. Looks great. I work on a bike here and there. I too would not want to do it full time for that joy would be gone.

  9. According to the Mr Motorcycle formula, I should call my bike 'Buford'

    or not

  10. No Name,

Regarding how I named my bike and what you say is my formula.... That's really F'n funny. Buford, does not make a good bike name! Oh well, Can't win em all. Go with the Chick version. "Buffy", now that is a good bike name.
