As you probably noticed, the North Shore is a GREAT place to ride. I live at Split Rock Lighthouse and ride as much as the weather and my job allow. I have found that one of the best bike rides in MN is on Forest Highway 11 from Silver Bay along the North Shore to Hoyt Lakes up on da range. Great photos.

ReplyDeleteAnanymous, I also discovered that from 35 North/61 to take Hwy 1 West all the way to Ely, MN is friggin awesome. I was really wishing I had my motorcycle with me but it was cold and raining that day anyway. Will definitely have to go back for that one. It is recently paved, and is like Dragons Tail. It is about 43 miles long, and 85% was windy and up and down!
