I live at 1 Frozen place in, Minnesota, United States
My real name is Mark. For many years now my wife has called me Mr. Motorcycle. When I started my Blog I was looking for a catchy blog name, so I went with it. I'm happily married and I'm also a father of 6 children. I have two human offspring, one dog, two cats and one custom Harley. I believe that makes 6 children. When I'm not doing my real full time job, or going for a ride, I like to do art, custom paint jobs, and of course BLOG. If you would like to contact me, my e-mail address is phonetically spelled for avoiding spammers. (I actually do use the number 1 in the beginning.) 1mrmotorcycleATgmailDOTcom

The photo above is my ride :
"Kenny" started life as a stock '97, 883 Sportster. It's been a work in progress since the day I bought it many years ago. Its mostly custom with a built, "slightly juiced up" 1200 motor.
The Metal Fabrication, bodywork and custom paint was done by me.

How the Hell did I come up with a name like Kenny for my bike you ask?...... Most people who name their rides, go with chick names. I of course had to be different. I think bikes look tough, cool and masculine; not feminine. Plus, my father "Ken" has helped make me who I am today. Therefore with a little twist on the name, my bike was named "Kenny".

Son's of Anarchy Episod 5 review

.
.
.

To start this post off, there is a little pop quiz for you.

.
.
.

Who or what is Sam Cro or Sam Crow?
.
.
.
The answer(s) will be at the bottom of this post, but I want you to try to figure it out on your own, if you have not already.
.
.
.
Episode #5 review.
.
.
.
O.K. can I just say Eew at Wax On/ Wax Off! Too funny!
Why did they even have to make that a part of this show? This guy would have gotten the sh*t kicked out of him in prison on a daily basis if he really went around O.C.D. Masturbating himself all the time in front of everyone. WTF!?! I love the Asian woman in the restaraunt. Her comments are way funny! I love you jack off guy! You come back any time!
.
.
.
The Tattoo thing. Wow. I wonder if the prospect is having any second thoughts.
(I can't say more 'cause I don't want to ruin it for those who have not seen this episode yet.)
.
.
.
And the ATF guy is just creepy.
.
.
.
I can't say a whole lot more about this episode that won't ruin the show.
.
.
.
So We move onto the answer(s) to the pop quiz.
.
.
.
My wife gets total credit for this one.
.
.
.
I couldn't figure it out. She would ask me, "Who is Sam Crow?" I'd say, "I don't know. They have never said. I am assumiming it is Clay's last name one word Samcro." She bought that for a while, but It never sat right with her. She said to me in this episode. "It can't be Clay's last name. It's two words, Look at the banner that says Sam Crow and listen to the way people refer to the name. Like... "I'm nothing without Sam Cro" as if they are referring to the club, not Clay. This is when it dawned on her. It is Sam Cro, and Sam Crow.
.

.
.

.
.
Have you figured it out yet?

O.K., here it is if you have not got it.

This means SAM CRO

Son's of Anarchy Motorcycle
C
lub Redwood Original
.

For the Women of the club or the "old ladies" as they refer to it, add the "W" for SAM CROW.

Way to go Mrs. M!

You just figured that out?
By any chance, were your parents first-cousins?

Dean "D-Day" said...

Hey, don't get mad at me just because your wife is the brains of the outfit. (Her parents must be second or third cousins. LOL!)

At least your wife will watch it. My wife makes me stand in the kitchen and watch it on the counter-top TV. She walked in the room when they were "recovering" their colors from the ex-member. She took one look at the TV and sarcastically said, "Nice show."

Webster World said...

Wow! Glad that was figured out. Wondered and hey whats wrong with first cousins? Ya all! My wife is yet to watch it. Her work hours. And it's not Gray's oh my. The burn? Dumb ass should have blacked it out. That happens. As for the beat your meat guy. WTF. But I do suffer from licatitidous.

IHG said...

If that episode doesn't scare joe public I don't know if anything will. WOW! I have a very reliable source that told me that the end would have never been done with fire...blacked out, belt sander, or cut out...never fire.

There were so many funny parts in this show. I couldn't stop laughing with the whole OMD thing...OMG! And the looks those guys gave him...LMAO! And the Asian woman...funny!

ATF Guy...freaking wacko creep.

Can't wait until next week. Oh and don't feel bad Mr. M...it took me a couple shows to figure SamCro out...lol. Sometimes things are just too obvious.

Dean,
My wife only watches it, because she happens to be in the same room as me when I turn it on.
she only does it begrudgingly. (Hows that big word for a half wit?)
She is still trying to figure out if we're supposed to like any of the people who appear pretty heartless as she would say. That's my nice version of how she puts it.

Web,
I'm still smiling about "licatitidous". It took me a second to get it. Then I laughed.

IHG,
I don't feel bad that Dean made me look like a total dub ass in front of all of you. That's what good friends are for. We have a saying in my family. We only tease, pick on, and make fun of those we love. Besides, I just have the balls to admit, that I had no friggin clue. I wonder how many more people will admit they were wondering WTF it meant.

Dean "D-Day" said...

That's what I always tell my daughter.

"If I didn't tease you, you'd think that I didn't love you anymore."

-Connie said...

I figured it meant the club, but didn't think of it as an acronym. I loved this week's episode! I wonder what the prospect is thinking now!! I loved everyone's faces at the wack off guy!! Did anyone else laugh at the beginning when someone asked Clay if he was going to the fund raiser and he said, "I'd rather have my balls cut off. ..... what? Too soon?" I giggled. :)

IHG said...

I caught that too Connie...I was like...LOL! Funny stuff!

Mr. Motorcycle said...

Connie, Even when I figured out it was an acronym, I had to think awhile to drop the "O" from "Of".
Duh!

Yeah, I caught what Clay said too. Typical family guy right?

B.B. said...

Funny, last night and this morning I was trying to figure that out, but like you, I couldn't get rid of that "O". Thanks Mrs. M. for saving me from driving myself crazy thinking about it.
I was laughing during most of it, but then I got pretty sick over the tattoo thing, even though I knew it was coming.
I can't believe that I like this show now as much as I do. Last night when it was over I was like,
"What? Already?"

Lady R (Di) said...

Well, I finally got caught up with all of you. H and I watched last night's episode tonight (we have Tivo)and we laughed, too, at all the reactions to whack off boy! LOL!

"Jerky, jerky boy, you come back" ROTFLMAO!

I think the tatt dude was pretty foolish for even thinking he would be forgiven.

-Connie said...

I agree LadyR!! He pretty much walked right into that scenerio!!!

Mr. Motorcycle said...

B.B.,
Just like watdhing another guy get his nuts smashed, I was cringing at the tattoo thing too. I wish I had a picture of my facial expressions while I was wathing it happen.
Laddy R,
I'm glad you're up to speed.
I think you got the line exact..."Jerky, jerky boy, you come back"

"Joker" said...

Up until now I was a fan of The Jerky Boys. I may need to re-think things now.

SAMCRO had me stumped only for the first episode. Last night when I saw the banner SAM CROW, I didn't connect the "W" as being for Women, as in their version of what we call LOH, or the Ladies of Harley. I just figured the W was added for the public's benefit. One brain-fart to Joker.

That Chinese lady had me in tears laughing. I don't know what was funnier, that, or the look on Clay and Jax's faces when he got in the van with them and put his hand to it. Guy must have had a thumb dick though, poor bastard. I know I couldn't rub one out with my pants zipped up...OUCH!!!

I knew the tatt removal was coming the second they showed him hike his shirt up enough for Jax and Opie to see it. I have heard of 1% clubs cutting them off or using a sander. Fire no. But, I wouldn't rule it out. If killing is within reason, burning a tatt off somebody doesn't amount to a hill of beans. Then again, it's their hill, and those are their beans.

I think the writing is good and they are developing the characters well. Shoot-outs in city parking lots with no cops showing up is silly though, even for entertainment purposes. Jesus, they had the shootout, then they hang around for another 10 minutes making a deal for money and counterfeit plates right out in the open? Nope! Sorry!

Still a good show though; I'm enjoying it.

I will admit I (we) were dumb asses about SAMCRO(W) also. WE thought at first it was a person too.

The entire family watches it religiously. The wife and 2 older daughters, we all love the show. The girls are in love with Jacs. They think he is a total "hottie"....LOL

Clay (Ron Perlman) is in a much better role than he ever was in "Beauty and the Beast".

Mr. Motorcycle said...

Joker,
I don't think the Jerk ever got very far rubbing one out. I think it was more just a nervous disorder more than anything else. O.K., now I'm analyzing this too much. Eewww.

Why not fire? Either way, they could die of infection, bleeding to death, etc.

As far as cops not showing up after a shoot out, I'm not buying it either.

Majickman,
Ron Pearlman reminds me of Stephen King for some reason.

I just saw this episode.
It would have had more impact if I hadn't read all the comments first and had a idea of what to expect:]
Cool show.
Bit farfetched in some areas but great entertainment.
But, all good storys embellish.
That's why its called fiction:]
Btw I'm sure you have heard by now....This show has been greenlighted for another season.

Mr. Motorcycle said...

Big D., And all my other readers and fellow bloggers,
I am aware that comments left on my posts are giving away the show for some folks who don't watch it right away. When I do my initial posts. I have been leaving anything I say about the episode specifics pretty vague, but readers replies are not so much this way. This is one of the reason's I will not be doing any more S.O.A. posts. The other, is even though the show is great in my opinion. Other than discussing what just happened on the show, there is nothing else to discuss. I believe I got the ball rolling for those who will watch the show, and maybe even swayed a few people into it.

Big D.,
Regarding, "Bit farfetched in some areas but great entertainment.

I have three words for you... secret agent bunker. :)I LOVE reading the fiction that you write.

And as far as getting the green light for season two. I did not know that, but am glad to hear. Thanks for the info.

I don't know that you have to do that. We don't get HBO I'm just now watching the Soprentos(sp) I did not watch the first show(SamCro) until just now. OnDemand it's called here. Nah this is fun. You all talking about the first did not ruin it for me. Think it over now. Just a mindless quip.

I missed the banner thing, but noticed the patch on Jax's vest. On the left side is a big patch SAMCRO
