Sorry about my absenteism on my comments last week, but I was on the North Shore on a camping trip with the wife and kids, and no computer service up there.
I brought back some pictures to share.
Cool lighthouse
Split Rock Lighthouse
Gooseberry Falls running with high fast water
More Gooseberry Falls

I checked my google reader. Over 100 and some blog posts unread!

Beautiful pictures. Hope you had a great time.
Great pics! I love that knife!
Looks like a great place to camp. I would love to have a house by that water! Beautiful! I'm glad you had a great Father's Day!
Your off the hook because you apologized. Who do you think you are taking off like that?
Nice picts. Glad to hear you got out there for some R&R. At least I hope is was relaxing. Nice knife, but I wouldn't recommend trying to ride it. Good to have you back.
As you probably noticed, the North Shore is a GREAT place to ride. I live at Split Rock Lighthouse and ride as much as the weather and my job allow. I have found that one of the best bike rides in MN is on Forest Highway 11 from Silver Bay along the North Shore to Hoyt Lakes up on da range. Great photos.
Great pics. No excuses needed for camping out with the family. Glad you had a good time.
Hey al thanks for the welcom back and the comments! I really appreciate all of you!
Ananymous, I also discovered that from 35 North/61 to take Hwy 1 West all the way to Ely, MN is friggin awesome. I was really wishing I had my motorcycle with me but it was cold and raining that day anyway. Will definitely have to go back for that one. It is recently paved, and is like Dragons Tail. It is about 43 miles long, and 85% was windy and up and down!
