Military show at Traxlers this last weekend
I went to a military show this last Saturday with my Father inlaw at a gun club called Traxler's in LeCenter, MN.
I knew there would be cannons, mortars, an air show, and battle reinactment. It was really really cool. I took some pictures of all of it, but for brevity, will share with you some of the really cool motorcycles they had for show.
Enjoy.
I wasn't able to get the year of this sweet BMW below, because by the time I had the thought to get it, the bike was gone.
The one below is a 1939 DKW.
And this one is a 1941 BMW.

Great pictures! I love the bikes from the WWII time period. Classic lines yet rugged.
I bet those guys back then must've had hemorrhoids something awful riding those babies on rough terrain. I know from personal experience that the comfort of the soldier is not at all a priority of the US Army. I'd imagine Nazi Germany was no different.
Really cool to look at though, great photos.
I love those bikes. Thanks for the pictures.
Lot's of history in those fine machines. I'm with Joker, I can't imagine how good your butt would feel after a few miles on those! I can guarantee you, the Army was not concerned about comfort. Looks like you had a pretty cool afternoon.
Totally awesome I loved the BMW.
Rick,
You're my Beamer guy, Figured you'd like it. I actually thought of you when I took the pics.
I have a real soft spot for military versions of bikes. I can just see myself out in rush hour traffic...taking out side mirrors, flattening tires, blowing out back windows with the .30 cal. ahhhhhh...thanks for the moment of bliss. Can you see me know a-hole!
whoops, now I meant, sometimes I just don't now. ;)
Dave,
If you are in the side car with the gun, Can I drive? Can I - Can I - Can I?
Then we'll switch.(Sinister laugh) Muoa ha ha ha ha.
Oh sorry, I must wake up from my fantasy land now and get back to work.
